For those of you who don’t know who Kate Gosselin is, you might have heard of this quite popular reality TV series in the US a couple of years back. It’s called Jon & Kate Plus 8, in which this not so typical family consisting of a couple who has twins and sextuplets for their offspring. I think that should ring a bell. The show ran for quite some time, so how is it so that the star would go back to her nursing career?
Born Katie Irene “Kate” Gosselin on March 28, 1975, this American television celebrity was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, second among five children. She acquired her diploma Program in Reading, Pennsylvania at the Reading Hospital and Medical Center. She then became a registered nurse afterwards. After that she got employment at Reading Hospital and went on duty as a labor and delivery nurse. She stopped working for the hospital in 2004.
Gosselin appeared on air on The View to have a good time for Halloween with the lady hosts of the show and talk on the subject of her upcoming plans after her most recent show has just been cancelled. Although there has been report that has been spreading about Gosselin Planning to go back to her career in nursing in order to help make ends meet, she said that it wasn’t an option for her.
According to her, it has always been a backup plan for her, but one day she just became aware that her backup plan will not be able to work and meet the needs of her eight kids.
Because the ratings have been wavering for some weeks now, Gosselin made mention that she feels that the show was about to come to an end, saying to the ladies of The View that it was obvious she was paying attention to the ratings, being an adult herself. But it was still a shock for her to hear about it and have her kids sit down for their very first family meeting.
But, despite the fact that things are not looking as bright as they should at the moment, Gosselin is still optimistic that soon she will be able to come back to the small screen, probably with taking along with her 10-year old twins Cara and Mady, and her 7-year-old sextuplets Alexis, Aaden, Hannah, Collin, Joel and Leah.
Asked regarding her ex-husband’s comments about him being glad that his children no longer have to be on television, Gosselin answered that she wasn’t really affected by what his opinions are, so she doesn’t really comment on what he had to say.
In an attempt to defend her option to try to maintain to be in the spotlight, Gosselin states that it has always been her goal to move further so that she will be able to give her children with extra opportunities.
